Smokey’s Secret Family: Cultural Takeover

Brooklyn’s club Barbès is teaming up with boroughmates Electric Cowbell Records to take over Manhattan and bring a multitude of genres under one roof for one night only. Join Smokey Hormel, Chicha Libre, Cheick Hamal Diabate, No BS! Brass, Raya Brass Band and DJ Geko Jones at NYC’s club DROM on Jan. 7 as each act sprinkles their own flavor onto the savory evening. The showcase features a wide range of genres from funk, Peruvian electric, cumbia and much more. Tickets for the multicultural night are $10 in advance and at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m.
