Overkill And Symphony X: NJ Thrashers Come To NYC

New Jersey’s own talented Overkill and Symphony X will be performing at Terminal 5 in NYC on Oct. 17; Sanctuary will also perform. Overkill was formed in 1980 and has been consistently producing thrash metal music ever since. They’ve impressively released 18 studio album, two live albums and three EPs. Their most recent, White Devil Armory, was released in 2014 via eOne Music. “Armorist,” from their most recent album, is essentially what they do so well; it’s raw and unforgiving thrash metal. Similarly, Symphony X has been around and successfully producing progressive metal since 1994. They have released nine studio albums, Underworld being their most recent in 2015 via Nuclear Blast. Underworld’s “Nevermore” is an amazing combination of electrifying drums and metal guitar riffs. This show is sure to please with two talented NJ bands that never disappoint.
