Rebecca Fanya, an acclaimed musician and backup vocalist, follows in the noble footsteps of music’s greatest sidekicks. After doing time in the trenches alongside contemporaries like Peter Gabriel, Youssou N’Dour, and Norah Jones, she’s finally releasing her eponymous debut, with a party at Joe’s Pub in Brooklyn on July 20.
