North Jersey Notes: Updates

I haven’t heard from the boys of Killcode in a little while. Well, until now, that is! The boys rocked the Highline Ballroom in NYC last week for the first time, but most importantly, my bro and singer Tom Morrissey told me that Killcode is currently in the middle of recording their first full-length CD with producer Stacy O’Dell, who is also working on the new CD from my bros, Panzie*. The Killcode CD is still untitled as of now, but I’m sure once songs are ready to be heard, you’ll be able to hear them at myspace.com/killcode.

Speaking of bands that I haven’t heard from in a while, the boys from Atom Strange are also in the studio recording their upcoming CD, which is tentatively titled The Lost Cosmonauts. This CD will be the first with new guitarist Eric Bair. To keep up-to-date with Atom Strange, log onto atomstrange.com.

Someone that I wish that I didn’t hear from much is Dave Incognito, but once again, I received an email from Dave to let me know that his band Incognito Theory finally released their first single off of their upcoming CD, Silent Pain on their reverbnation.com/incognitotheory. The song is called “Vengeance,” and it’s not bad. Best of all, it’s really heavy! For more info on Incognito Theory, go to facebook.com/incognitotheory.

The crew from HMS Revenge recently released a new CD called Voyage, which can be purchased at any of the band’s shows or on iTunes. Drummer Daniel Monda contacted me a couple of weeks ago to let me know that the band recently uploaded a track called “Celibate” on facebook.com/hmsrevenge, for fans to get a taste of the new CD. Log on and check it out now!

My buds from Kosmic Daydream recently sent out an email to let fans know that there was live footage shot of them at their recent show at The Clash Bar in Clifton, NJ. A reluctant fan filmed Kosmic Daydream performing their song “Other Side,” which can be viewed on YouTube. For more info on Kosmic Daydream, go to kosmicdaydream.com.

And finally, my bro Dan Lorenzo from Hades will be bringing the former rulers of the North Jersey Metal scene back to Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ on March 26, but Dan and Hades won’t be alone. Opening will be a band called called Magus Beast and local favorites Piston Driven, but it doesn’t end there! Now it turns out, former Manowar guitarist Ross the Boss will join Hades onstage for a song off of the first Manowar CD! This show just got turned up a whole notch! This show again is on March 26 at Dingbatz in Clifton, NJ. For more info, log onto myspace.com/hadesusa.

That’s all for now! If your band is from North Jersey, and you want some exposure, send your press kits to Arts Weekly, c/o Tim Louie P.O. Box 1140 Little Falls, NJ 07424, or you can email me at tim@theaquarian.com, where you can also let me know where you’re performing next!

Just remember: we are all in the same boat, so every little bit of exposure counts!
