Hailing from Los Angeles, Otep is a band that has been around for over 15 years now. Through the years, they have been through a number of different members. Vocalist Otep Shamaya remains the only original member in Otep today. Their dramatic and aggressive cues in their music has remained constant throughout each of Otep’s releases. Although the group stated that their album, Hydra, released in 2013, would be their last album, the nu metal band has acted against that and recently put out their seventh studio album, Generation Doom, in April. Their tour will be hitting The Studio @ Webster Hall in Manhattan on May 9.
