Very Be Careful: Accordions Aren’t Just For Polka

—by , January 6, 2011

One of Los Angeles’ premier Vallenato bands, Very Be Careful, is making a stop in the area to spread their cultural music. Originating in Colombia, the group uses the accordion to drive melodies. The band performs mostly their own material, as seen on their newest release, Escape Room. Featuring Ricardo Guzman on accordion and vocals, Arturo Guzman on bass, they will be at the Bowery Poetry Club on Jan. 7, and Coco66 on Jan 8. Both performances begin at 10 p.m. and cost $10. To enter either event, you must be 21 or older.
