Blue Oyster Cult is back! Well, actually, not quite. They never exactly went away. Impressively, the classic rock five-piece has been performing consistently for over 40 years now. They’re currently touring in support of the 40th anniversary of their most famous and iconic song, “Don’t Fear The Reaper,” which still gets prominent radio airplay to this day and was further immortalized by Saturday Night Live with the infamous “More Cowbell” sketch. Additionally, their songs “Burnin’ For You” and “Godzilla” are classics in their own right. Blue Oyster Cult is currently made up of the core songwriting team of Donald Roeser and Eric Bloom and is rounded out by Richie Castellano, Kasim Sulton, and Jules Radino. They’ll be performing at the NYCB Theatre At Westbury on Feb. 6 and the B.B. King Blues Club on Feb. 13, April 7 and June 17.

Blue Oyster Cult was awesome Saturday night. I turned 50 on Super Bowl 50. I asked my husband 3.5 months ago to get tickets. What a blast I had…all 7 of us had. I researched each and every member of the band for the three months before the concert. Some how, some way, my girlfriend, Sue got Richie Castellano to come out from back stage to meet me when the concert was over. His birthday is same as mine 02/07. I got a hug and kiss. I’m never washing my face again. Lol. Josie Carfi-Fry
